The Winter Goalkeeping Camp at Soccer Inter-Action gets underway
The youngsters enrolled in the Christmas Campus for goalkeepers will be enjoying specialised training sessions to strengthen and improve their characteristics.
A week to remember for the future goalkeepers of elite football. For a week, players from different countries and ages have been staying at the Soccer Inter-Action High Performance Centre – located in Enguera, Valencia – with the aim of growing as a football player, with the goalkeepers playing a leading role on the pitch.
SIA Academy and its former football school Soccer Inter-Action Valencia-Enguera spare no effort when it comes to promoting the characteristics of the young promises and have organised within the Winter Camp a special goalkeeping camp coordinated by one of the technicians of our Soccer School and International Football Academy dedicated in depth to the improvement of the goalkeepers: José Luis Perales ‘Portu’. This is why these youngsters can enjoy even more what they like the most, protecting the goal from the shots of their rivals and show that they can make a name for themselves in the elite.
Experiences with professional goalkeeping coaches
The goalkeepers of FC Porto B, who despite their youth are already professionals and are knocking on the doors of the first team, have already made a name for themselves. Two of them (Mouhamed Mbaye and Ricardo Silva), who were doing their pre-season in our unbeatable sports facilities, shared their experience and time with those enrolled in the last Campus.
This interaction, coordinated by the goalkeeping coach of the FC Porto reserve team and the technical coordinator of our Football School, António Gouveia, was a great success. In fact, once the typical nerves of the young goalkeepers were over, the smiles and the motivation of wanting to prove their worth shone through and we could even see great saves and class with the ball at their feet.
