Many debuts, good results and news for our international football academy in the Alzira teams.
Our Juvenil SIA Academy won a convincing victory against Ayorense in the municipal field of Venecia. The team coached by Antonio Vidal settled the game in the first 35 minutes. The game went into the break with a 3-1 scoreline and, although there were no goals in the second half, the home team was clearly dominant. Our player of the SIA Academy Annual Programme, Chakoure Bawa, played the whole game providing security and chances for the team from Alzira.
This week was an exciting one for our Juvenil C team. Although the team failed to win, our annual programme player, Jill Meghani, made his debut for the team. Another academy player, Lukian Skuz, continues to be in good form and is cementing his place in the starting eleven. Jill’s was not the only debut; Aaron Lopez, the academy’s coach, sat on the azulgrana bench for the first time. With Aarón as coach, the academy players will have more direct contact and more opportunities with the Alzira youth team.
Our amateur team SIA Academy drew 0-0 at the municipal field of Venecia against the leader of the standings, Benigànim CF. The away team started very hard, but the solid defense of our team stopped all attacks. Our academy player, Giacomo Brunati, was one of the components of this defensive wall. The team is now three points behind the first placed team and is still dreaming of promotion to the Lliga Comunitat.
SIA Academy affiliate UD Alzira travelled to Ibiza to face Peña Deportiva. After a very intense match, the home team beat against UD Alzira. Marc Garcia, UD Alzira coach, was not worried about the result as anyone can have a bad day. The team remains seven points off the play-off places and is still dreaming of the Primera RFEF. If so, our players would have the chance to train and tryout with a professional team in the Spanish third division.
