The young football players of FC Porto Dragon Force femenino Valencia-Enguera have once again shone with their own light in a competitive women’s football tournament of the Values.
Yet another experience for these cracks. The FC Porto Dragon Force Valencia Femenino base team never tires of showing all the potential they have. After a last season full of success in the League and several victories in prestigious women’s football tournaments, the Dragons, coached by Carlos Sanfélix – the coach who took over from Antonio Gouveia – started the pre-season in the best possible way: playing at a very high level.
.
HOW HAS THE WOMEN’S TOURNAMENT DEVELOPED FOR FC PORTO?
In this case, the young players of FC Porto Dragon Force travelled to the Roís de Corella pitch (Gandia) to inaugurate the first edition of the Values Tournament. Under the slogan ‘Respect’, this competition seeks to support the development of women’s football at its best, principles in line with those promoted by Soccer Inter-Action. In fact, and despite being at the beginning of pre-season, these ‘Dragons’ are training at a high level on the pitches of the SIA High Performance Centre, so it was no surprise that they have given their best in this women’s football tournament held in the Safor region. And no less than these young and talented players made it to the final after an extraordinary match on Saturday that ended in favour of the ‘Dragons’. In the final played on Sunday, they had to face Miramar, one of the strongest women’s football teams in the Valencian Community, and the FC Porto Dragon Force Valencia-Enguera players gave their all on the pitch, although they were left with nothing to show for it as they were unable to emerge victorious this time.
SOLIDARITY WOMEN’S FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT
However, the results and the good work of the players of FC Porto Dragon Force Valencia-Enguera remain in the background, because in the celebration of the Tournament of Values, held in Gandia from 22 to 25 August, what has prevailed has been through women’s football to help the Association of Families of Children and Adolescents with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (AFNADAH). Organised by the platform Desarrollo Deportivo, this women’s football tournament of solidarity character has had the mission of contributing its grain of sand in the help and collaboration for these people, who every day that passes are more and need more resources to investigate this pathology and define the various ways of integration into society.
Faced with such a scenario, the FC Porto Dragon Force Valencia-Enguera women’s team, which this season will once again fight to try to be in the top positions of the women’s league, will go down in the records of this competition as one of the first clubs to participate. The idea of the organisation of El Torneo de los Valores is to try to become a national benchmark, making this women’s football tournament a prestigious competition, above all, thanks to its strong link with values: self-improvement, ethics, passion, education, tolerance, friendship and respect.
FC PORTO DRAGON FORCE WOMEN’S PRE-SEASON TEAM
After the great performance in this women’s football tournament, the players coached by Carlos Sanfélix will get back to work next week to continue their preseason at the elite facilities of Soccer Inter-Action, where in addition to the Official School of FC Porto, the International Football Academy and UD SIA Benigànim of the Third Division are already at full capacity.
TOURNAMENT PLAYERS CADETS TORCAF 2019
As if this were not enough, this last week of August will be even more intense as the SIA High Performance Centre will host several of the teams participating in TORCAF 2019, a cadet tournament in which Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Villarreal, Atlético de Madrid, Valencia CF and U.D.Levante will be competing.
