INDIA’S UNDER-20 NATIONAL TEAM HAS AN AMBITIOUS TRAINING CAMP IN SIA
The Soccer Inter-Action High Performance Centre hosted the Indian women’s team in preparation for the important Cotif tournament.
The Indian women’s national football team is the country’s representative women’s team in official competitions. The Indian Football Federation is a founding member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and belongs to FIFA.
The Soccer Inter-Action High Performance Centre is having a busy few weeks. SIA’s elite sports facilities, located in Enguera -Valencia (Spain)-, have become this summer one of the reference places to live in a football-rich environment. The Summer Football Campus with the methodology of FC Porto – one of the most successful clubs in Europe – has been a success in terms of attendance: training sessions, workshops, adventure in nature and a mixture of cultures that make this experience unrepeatable.
As if the spectacular Summer Football Camp was not enough, it is now time to add the ambitious Stage of the Indian National Team. This exotic U20 team repeated its participation in the prestigious international summer tournament COTIF and chose to put itself in the hands of Soccer Inter-Action to prepare for this competition. As a result, India’s best U20 players are training in the mornings and afternoons on the natural and artificial turf pitches at the SIA Center to get used to the demands of the l’Alcudia pitch.
In the COTIF women’s tournament, the national teams of Mauritania, Equatorial Guinea, Bolivia and the team hosted by Soccer Inter-Action India will participate along with the Spanish women’s national team.
In addition to the demanding training sessions, the Indian U20 team has prioritised rest in order to be able to perform at their best when the time comes for the tournament. For this reason, Soccer Inter-Action has provided them with all the resources available to enhance this aspect, having at their disposal the massage rooms, all the leisure areas and the video analysis office, where the coaching staff of the Indian team gives talks and explanations to all their players.
The Indian women’s national team has chosen SIA to concentrate and play friendly matches as part of its preparation for the next Women’s Football Tournament to be held in LÁlcudia from 1 August to 8 August.
Currently India is moving away from being a country of retirement of old glories, with less football tradition and high purchasing power, to move towards a future football power, where investment will surely have a return in future generations.
