SIA Academy players stayed at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas.
As part of SIA Academy’s annual high performance program, participating players had the great opportunity to live an unforgettable experience during the sports tour that took place from December 8-10 in Madrid. This event not only allowed them to immerse themselves in the world of professional footballsuch as staying at the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas, visiting the Museum of the Spanish National Soccer Team and the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, but also to explore the tourist attractions of the Spanish capital.
The Ciudad del Futbol in Las Rozas
The Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas was the epicenter of this experience. The complex, which is home to the headquarters of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), is the recognized place of concentration for the men’s and women’s senior national teams and the rest of the federation’s national teams. The SIA Academy players stayed at this emblematic place, immersing themselves in the heart of Spanish soccer and enjoying a stay just like that of professional players.
Museum of the Spanish National Football Team:
One of the highlights was a visit to the Spanish National Football Team Museum, an iconic place that chronicles more than 100 years of the national team’s history. From cups won to photographs of legends such as Ricardo Zamora, Iker Casillas, Luis Suárez with Iniesta and Olga Carmona, to contemporary figures such as Fernando Torres and Aitana Bonmatí, the museum offers a unique immersion into the rich heritage of the spanish football.
Friendly match at the Ciudad del Fútbol fields in Las Rozas
One of the main activities of the football tour was the participation of SIA Academy players in an exciting friendly match against the Sergio Panchón and Antonio López soccer school, former professional players.
The match took place on one of the fields of the Real Federación Española de Fútbol. During the match, the SIA Academy players demonstrated their skills with the ball against a new rival who also demonstrated their abilities.
LaLiga match and visit to Ciudad Real Madrid
The three-day experience included several sporting activities, including attending the LaLiga first division match between Getafe C.F. and Valencia C.F. at the Coliseum Stadium, home of the local team. The players encouraged the Valencia C.F. team, supporting their passion for professional competition from the stands.
Another activity was a visit to Ciudad Real Madrid in Valdebebas to watch an exciting match between Real Madrid’s U19 team and Mérida AD.
Santiago Bernabeu and Madrid City Tour
The tour was not only limited to the sportive environment, but also included a tour of the center of Madrid. Before visiting the city center, they attended the Bernabéu Tour, where they were able to see firsthand the majestic renovation work on the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. After that, they were able to visit emblematic places in the city such as the Plaza del Sol and the city’s Christmas atmosphere, giving the players a different experience associated with Spanish culture. To end these three days full of emotions, the players did some shopping and took the opportunity to take back some souvenirs of this unique experience.
The SIA Academy football tour in Madrid is part of the annual high performance program, created with the objective of giving the players a closer experience to professional football, not only by exploring stadiums and professional team matches, but also by enriching their development and giving them a more realistic perception of the fascinating world of soccer, in addition to being a way to live outside of their traditional environment, creating memories that will last throughout their careers.
