THE FC PORTO DRAGON FORCE CADET WOMEN’S TEAM STILL WANTS MORE
The Infantil-Cadete women’s team coached by SIA Academy closed the first part of the season with a very good feeling, something that shows the great potential of the Dragons, who are increasingly established as one of the strongest teams in the Valencian League.
Women’s football in the Valencian Community has earned the right to be considered one of the most competitive at national level. The participating teams are becoming more and more powerful and the resources allocated to the training of young players are increasing with each passing month. The FC Porto Dragon Force School of Football in Spain is a good example of this.
The award-winning Portuguese club and Soccer Inter-Action have been committed from the beginning to the training and development of women’s football, with the same objective as the men’s team:
the potential of the athlete for a High Performance context. After several successful seasons, both in terms of play and results, the time has come for the Dragons Infantil-Cadetes of this year season to shine even more brightly.
CADET WOMEN’S LEAGUE RESULTS
Nine victories and two defeats was the spectacular record with which FC Porto Dragon Force closed the first half of the Valenta League. A recently created competition that has divided all the female teams in this category into six groups, with the Dragons in group 4 this season, along with teams like Valencia CF, Levante UD and CF Miramar – league champions last season with the previous competition format.
So, the numbers speak for themselves: 71 goals scored and 14 conceded in eleven matches played, with two established goalkeepers in Celia and Aroa, and the top scorer of this phase: Marta Lleó, with no less than 21 goals to her name.
FRIENDLY MATCH AGAINST CF VILLAREAL FEMENINO
As a result of this sensational dynamic, the girls’ Infantil-Cadete team of FC Porto Dragon Force wanted to play a friendly match against another of the strongest teams in the Valencian League, Villarreal CF, before their last match in the league.
The Submarine hosted the Dragons at the Ciudad Deportiva, and it was a thrilling match, with very positive conclusions, as FC Porto Dragon Force won by a goal to two against the team that finished first in Group 1 of the Valencian League. In fact, Villarreal CF have not lost a single league game and have conceded just four goals in the eleven games played.
LEAGUE MATCH AGAINST LEVANTE UD
However, it should be noted that the players of the women’s team coached by SIA cademy could not put the finishing touch to their excellent performance in this first part of the season, as despite having prepared thoroughly for their league match against Levante UD, they did not have their day and were defeated.
In fact, this is one of the aspects that the coaching staff will continue to work on relentlessly at the Soccer Inter-Action High Performance Centre to make the players improve: consistency when it comes to competing and not giving up even when the result is not favourable.
In conclusion, the FC Porto Dragon Force Infantil-Cadete women’s team still has a lot to say during these months of competition ahead of them, so they will continue to give their all on the pitch to show all the potential they have.
As they are a great team made up of players who are not only shining brightly on the pitch, but have also managed to put together a great group, ingredients that augur that with hard work and effort they will position themselves where they deserve to be.
