UD SIA Benigànim visited FC Jove Español San Vicente this weekend in one of the trips to the province of Alicante. The ‘ganxuts’ went into the game confident of doing well and putting into practice what they had learned during the week at the SIA Center.
The SIA Academy first team’s match was close and went the way of the locals by two penalties. The match was an opportunity for recently signed players to get their first minutes, as is the case of Marcos Cano.
FC Jove Español 2-0 UD SIA Benigànim
UD SIA Benigànim were only beaten from the penalty spot. A fact that makes the result a little bit worse, but does not tarnish the great work done by the players of the first team of Soccer Inter-Action. For much of the time they had possession and played a great game.
How did the first part develop?
UD SIA Benigànim is a team that likes to play with the ball. There is no better way to learn football than with associative quality. The ‘ganxut’ team went from strength to strength in the game, as in the early stages they had several shots saved by Salva.
Emilio and Dani Montes were the most dangerous players for UD SIA Benigànim during the half. They were incisive down the flanks. A danger that was not rewarded. Iván also tried his luck from outside the area, although without complications for the Jove Español goalkeeper.
How did the second part go?
In the second half came the penalties. And the goals. In the 55th minute there was a collision in the UD SIA Benigànim area and Abraham Gomis made it 1-0. A result that did not change the great form of the ‘ganxut’ team, who continued to stay in the game.
More controversial was the penalty that made it 2-0 in the 77th minute. Even so, the referee had no hesitation in awarding the penalty and Abraham Gomis again beat Salva. Nothing could have prevented the defeat of a hard-fighting SIA Benigànim.
Opportunity to play in the Third Division RFEF
UD SIA Benigànim footballers continue to fight for their dream of becoming professional footballers. Playing in Tercera RFEF is a first step towards it. The fifth category of Spanish football allows them to play all over the Valencian Community and in the best sporting cities.
Valencia CF, Villarreal CF, Elche CF, CD Castellón and Hércules CF are some of the teams against which Soccer Inter-Action’s first team competes. The effort has its rewards and several players have already left the SIA Academy to join professional teams.
UD SIA Benigànim Success Stories
The Soccer Inter-Action project in Benigànim consists of training and promoting young footballers to become professionals in other teams. Several have taken the step in this winter market. Marcos Blasco joined Torrent CF and Álex Santos joined Atlético Saguntino. Both teams have a professional structure and are fighting for promotion to Segunda RFEF. In search of that goal, Marcos Cano arrives at UD SIA Benigànim.
Formed in Levante UD during his entire football career, he arrives at SIA Academy to enhance his career. Cano is another player with a background in elite clubs, like a large part of the ‘ganxut’ squad.
Trials of football for Third RFEF
The UD SIA Benigànim squad is also made up of international players. Foreign players come to the football trials organised by SIA Academy to be part of the RFEF Tercera team, this is the case of the Indian striker Siddarth Bapodra. Bapodrat also played against Jove Español.
He has competed in 14 matches in Tercera RFEF this season with UD SIA Benigànim. His goal against CD Acero helped the ‘ganxut’ side to a win on matchday 18. A new case of international success for SIA Academy.
