SIA ACADEMY: SECOND VIF LEAGUE MATCH
This week our SIA Academy team had the second match of the VIF league. Our SIA Academy players faced the Alicante City FA academy. SIA Academy played away in Alicante.
José Luis Justiniano, as part of the academy’s coaching staff, comments that in the first half of the match, Alicante City FA stood out for generating more chances and advantages in the opposition half, but without scoring goals or defending in the rival area.
On the other hand, SIA Academy generated many more advantages, both positional and with the ball throughout the second half of the match, reaching the opponent’s goal but without being able to score a goal.
SIA ACADEMY IN DEFENCE
SIA Academy was able to keep a clean sheet in defence thanks to a good defensive block, permanent help and defensive vigilance from the players.
On the opposition’s side, they did not give the opportunity to develop the game in the first zone of the field and that helped the confidence of the SIA Academy team to be able to be close to the ball and recover the ball effectively.
In short, our team was compact in their defensive lines along with good individual actions by the defenders.
SIA ACADEMY IN ATTACK
When on the ball SIA Academy was more effective in the second half, generating more scoring chances than the opposition due to good positioning of the players and a constant rhythm of play effective in generating those offensive advantages.
Our players had the opportunity to finish in goal on several occasions but lacked effectiveness in these actions. There were good combinations between players progressing towards the opponent’s area.
SIA ACADEMY IN THE TRANSITIONS
This second match of the VIF League was a match of many transitions, in which there were many chances to score, a match with a lot of rhythm and dynamic in which both teams generated these situations during the match.
WHAT WAS MISSING FROM THE MATCH
What was missing from the match SIA Academy vs Alicante City FA was the goal, due to the chances that SIA Academy had during the match.
However, we can highlight the participation of our players Jill, Ricardas, Giacomo and Trai.
