UD Alzira is 4 points away from the play-off places and would improve the chances of SIA Academy players.
SIA Academy affiliate UD Alzira claimed another win in the last game of the first half of the season, moving them up to sixth, four points off the play-off places. If they continue on this unstoppable run, the team would secure one of the places to compete for a place in the Primera RFEF. This would allow players who register for our tryouts and some of our own players to test themselves in a top team.
At our SIA Academy football tryouts, we make sure that players have a professional football experience at the highest possible level. Through our affiliation with UD Alzira, the most talented players have the opportunity to make a place in a Spanish fourth division team at the moment. Due to the good run of the team, this could change for the football tryouts in July and August. Our players would have the chance to try out for a Primera RFEF team, thus improving the opportunity and competitiveness of SIA Academy players.
Our youngest players have the chance to show their skills in a División de Honor team, the highest youth category. The UD Alzira youth team is playing against professional academies such as Valencia CF, Elche CF, Villarreal CF or Atlético de Madrid. It is a good first step in a player’s progression, before making the leap to the amateur stage.
Several of our players had the experience of playing with the Juvenil División de Honor team for different reasons such as Daniel Farkas, from our SIA Academy Annual Programme, who did the pre-season and played against important teams such as Real Zaragoza or RCD Mallorca; or David Schramm and Luís Merino, from our Christmas camp, who trained and participated in friendly matches during their stay at the campus.
