LAST PRE-SEASON MATCH UD SIA ACADEMY VS SD SUECA

On Wednesday August 30 took place at the Stadium El Infantil in Sueca the last pre-season friendly match between UD SIA Academy and SD Sueca.

It was a very even match in most phases of the game. Without a clear dominator. In this preparation match we could not single out any player over another.

The importance of these matches lies in the evolution of the group. The collective improvement day by day and growing as a team.

How have the new UD SIA Academy team been doing defensively?

The new UD SIA Academy team continues to work on the collective defensive aspect. Solidarity and effort must be the fundamental pillars.

A couple of individual errors due to a lack of concentration led to the rival goals (3-1). Victory for the home team.

The goal in favour of the team was scored by Pablo Prades (centre forward) in the 70th minute of the match.

How did the transitions go?

During the game the team transitioned well both offensively and defensively. Speed in off-the-ball movements is very important to execute this tactical aspect well, and the players are aware of this.

How were they in attack?

Despite not having an attacking reference as such, the team wanted to have the ball and combine through the association of the midfielders and the arrival of the wide players.

As a result of this attacking impetus, the team had countless corners and free kicks in the end zone.

Xavi Candel, the team’s coach, finally highlighted: “In certain moments of the game, the intensity and competitive rhythm decreases in matches like this. Due to the countless changes of players, system modifications or tactical adjustments. It was a good test to see what level we are at today and to be aware that there is still a lot of work ahead of us to be a competitive team for the category”.
