SIA Academy continues to establish itself in Chile. After a first contact with the country last December, when the SIA Academy ‘Showcase’ was held in Santiago de Chile, it now joins forces with AFUTCOP to promote Chilean school football. The tournament, which brings together many schools in the area, was presented with Felipe Seymour as an ambassador.
After 23 years of organising this tournament, SIA Academy has decided to support and generate a new alliance to promote football in the country. In addition to carrying out joint activations, the winners will enjoy an experience at the SIA Academy facilities.
What is AFUTCOP?
AFUTCOP is a school football tournament in the city of Santiago de Chile. Up to 30 schools will participate in this edition, competing to qualify for the final round of eight. The grand prize for the winner of this final phase will be a week-long experience at the SIA Academy.
This new edition of the competition was presented with great excitement at the Events Centre of the Sports City of the San Sebastián University in Santiago. The event was attended by more than 250 boys and girls, parents, teachers and sports sponsors who took part in the premiere.
Prize for the winning team
The winning team will enjoy a unique experience. They will have the opportunity to visit the SIA Academy facilities and the city of Valencia (Spain) for a week. This team will be one of the eight best teams in the competition. The competition is going to be very interesting and, above all, it will serve to continue training young people in Chile.
The main objective of this competition is the development and progress of the lower categories of Chilean football. This is where both AFUTCOP and SIA Academy want to join forces and promote the future of football in the country.
Scholarship for players at SIA Academy
But this will not be the only prize that Soccer Inter-Action will offer to the AFUTCOP participants. A scholarship will also be awarded to the 2 best players of this fantastic tournament, giving them the opportunity to live for 3 weeks a unique experience in Spanish football.

What is SIA Academy?
SIA Academy is a high performance centre focused on football and located in Enguera (Valencia). With a natural grass pitch, an artificial turf pitch, residence, gym, restaurant, sports clinic… it has all the requirements for a football player to excel. Here the training is continuous and the player’s development is observed every week.

With a duration of 10 months, players experience a constant evolution thanks to the methodology used and the resources available. With double sessions during the week, work in the gym and follow-up on physical preparation and nutrition, the change is remarkable.
In addition, it allows for a perfect combination of studies and training. Thanks to the alliance with the British School, all players of school age can follow their studies 15 minutes away from the academy. With timetables adapted to the circumstances of the academy, allowing them to combine training and matches at the academy.
