Match summary
From the first whistle, SIA Academy made their intentions clear. Right from the start, the team looked to control the tempo, showcasing their usual style of possession-based football, high pressing, and vertical attacking transitions. Despite playing away and facing a tough opponent, the team remained confident and took to the pitch with personality.
In the opening minutes, the game was fairly balanced in terms of chances, but not in terms of style. SIA Academy dominated possession and posed a greater threat in the final third, creating danger through the wings and combining well through the middle. Ontinyent, meanwhile, opted for a more direct approach, attempting to catch the visitors out with long balls behind the defense.

One of the most dangerous players early on was Edgar C., who used his speed and dribbling to constantly challenge the home defense. His runs from the wing caused real problems for Ontinyent, forcing them to adjust their defensive setup. Another standout was Elías J., who not only held his own but also led the team’s buildup and provided defensive solidity.
Although the opening goal didn’t come in the first half, the team remained patient and composed. They controlled the tempo, avoided disorganization, and didn’t allow frustration to creep in — a clear sign of the team’s growing maturity. The match went into halftime goalless, but with SIA clearly in control of the game’s rhythm.
Second half: a higher gear and promising debuts
The second half began with SIA Academy stepping up the intensity. The team returned from the break with greater urgency, looking to translate their dominance into goals. That change in pace quickly paid off: in the 55th minute, Elías J. finished off a great team move with a powerful strike to open the scoring against Ontinyent. It was a turning point, boosting the team’s confidence and forcing Ontinyent to take more risks.
That’s when the debuts took place. Logan C. came on and immediately showed his technical ability and understanding of the game. Just five minutes after his introduction, SIA netted their second goal, putting the match firmly in their hands. A dream debut for Logan C.

Shortly after, David P. also made his debut, and he too impressed with his movement and composure. In his first few minutes on the pitch, he contributed to the team’s passing rhythm and showed strong defensive commitment. With SIA’s third goal arriving with just ten minutes left on the clock, the game was effectively sealed, and the afternoon turned into a celebration.
Despite the comfortable lead, the team never dropped their intensity and kept competing at the highest level until the final whistle and preventing Ontinyent from getting back into the game. That mentality speaks volumes about the squad’s discipline and the standards set in training.
Post-match reflections vs Ontinyent
