Italian player debuts in the UD Alzira women’s team
Our SIA Academy international player Alice Ridolfi, 18 years old, from Italy, makes her debut as a starter in the women’s team of our subsidiary UD Alzira in the match against CF Ciudad de Alcoy.
ALICE PLAYER OF THE SIA ACADEMY ANNUAL PROGRAMME
Alice, a player from our SIA Academy annual programme, has been doing part of her training with the UD Alzira women’s team for about a month and a half.
In an interview with Alice, she tells us that she is very comfortable with the team, her teammates and coach. However, she feels that she still needs a bit more time to work on connecting with the team and feel fully part of it.
SIA ACADEMY ANNUAL TRAINING PROGRAMME
As part of the training schedule of our annual SIA Academy programme, Alice trains intensively from Monday to Saturday at the academy and two afternoons a week with the UD Alzira women’s team, in preparation for the 2023-2024 league weekend matches.
In addition, Alice has also been part of the matches that have been taking place with the academy team in different friendly matches and VIF League III edition competitions.
Alice, nowadays, enjoys being on the field and running as a forward winger, as she has played as a goalkeeper in her hometown before. Alice also finds advantages in training with men, due to the fitness, speed and pressure they have compared to training with women.
But she recognises that in the UD Alzira women’s team in which she is participating, there are players who are very good, physically fit and who put a lot of pressure on the pitch.
A few weeks ago we shared an interview of Alice on Youtube, we leave you the link to get to know her a little better, click here!
Alice is gaining confidence and adapting to Spanish football. With her good development, she will soon earn her place in the UD Alzira women’s team.
The match ended 8-0. Alice was part of this score, generating a goal in the first half in favour of the team. Levante News
