KOREAN YOUTH TEAM TEST THEIR METTLE AGAINST THE INTERNATIONAL SOCCER ACADEMY OF FOOTBALL INTER-ACTION
Exciting football match played on the natural grass pitch of the Soccer Inter-Action High Performance Centre between the South Korean national football team and the players of SIA Academy and the FC Porto Dragon Force Youth A team.
What matches have been played at the SIA High Performance Centre?
The ball never stops rolling at the Soccer Inter-Action sports facilities. Located in the town of Enguera (Valencia – Spain), the SIA High Performance Centre hosted another exciting international friendly match this week. An old acquaintance of Soccer Inter-Action repeated their experience on the pristine natural grass pitch of SIA Center in order to test the level of their players.
Players from South Korea have been brought in by Vision Foot, an organisation that selects players from this Asian country – a continental power – with the mission of testing their level with clubs in Europe. The South Korean football league is their target, as these young players train hard with the dream of making it in the Korean first division or the second division. The K league is becoming more and more prestigious and it is not easy to top the South Korean league table. One of their mandatory stops for this match was Soccer Inter-Action. After last season’s successful experience, Vision Foot’s young Korean footballers travelled to SIA Center for a friendly match. Their opponents were a group of U18 players from the Soccer Inter-Action International Football Academy and the Juvenil A of the FC Porto Football School in Spain: FC Porto Dragon Force. Everything pointed to a great spectacle. And so it was.
What was the outcome of the match?
“A game of two very different sides in terms of players on the pitch, all with the aim of maintaining the rhythm of the game. The advantage of sharing the same style of play in all the teams of the School and the Academy allows for an easy adaptation between all our players, whether they are competing in the Juvenil A for promotion to the National team or the international players of the SIA Academy, whose comprehensive programme at Soccer Inter-Action’s International Football Academy is focused on preparing these players for elite football,” said Xavi Mompó, coach of Juvenil A and one of the coaches who are part of the team of coaches who are in charge of the daily development of the many national and international players who have put themselves in the hands of Soccer Inter-Action.
The result ended in victory for the Asian team. The Korean Vision Foot team put in a great performance, as they did in their experience last season, demonstrating the good work being done in that country for the development of this sport and its promotion towards Europe, as we have already reported in Soccer Inter-Action.
Beyond the tight two goals to three that was reflected in the scoreboard once the referee signalled the end of the match, there was an intense and vertical clash, with both teams enjoying scoring opportunities. Diego and Joan were rewarded with a goal that had eluded players such as Fabrizio, Siddharth, Ladeira and even central defender Domingo just minutes before.
The home side’s defensive system went from strength to strength and players such as Aadith, Gezim and Kwadwo were able to thwart the rest of the Asian side’s attacks. On the other hand, and after the changing rooms, it is worth highlighting the entire Juvenil A team, who kept the game under control and showed Vision Foot’s players that their privileged position in the standings is no coincidence. Newcomer to the Dragons dressing room Alejandro Del Piero made his debut, who will provide depth on the right wing for the team coached by Xavi Mompó, Fernando Barberà and Pablo Orea.
What is the most important football tournament in Easter?
The young players of the Soccer Inter-Action International Football Academy have yet another experience that enriches their training in Spain. In addition to the league matches, the friendly matches help them to keep up the pace of competition and thus arrive fully prepared for the big events on the calendar, such as the long-awaited MIC Football 2020. Soccer Inter-Action and FC Porto Dragon Force will once again take part in this prestigious international tournament – one of the three most important in Europe – after their successful participation last year, where they faced elite clubs such as Liverpool and Espanyol, already in the fierce final phase of this tournament.
