ANOTHER WEEK OF HIGH PERFORMANCE AT THE SUMMER CAMPUS COMES TO AN END
The Soccer Inter-Action and FC Porto Summer Football Camp continues its course and the intensity of the training sessions increases with each passing day. The presence of young footballers from all over the world makes the Camp a unique experience. The FC Porto World Camps are international high performance camps.
The ball doesn’t stop rolling at the Soccer Inter-Action High Performance Centre. After a season full of matches and training sessions, the long-awaited moment of the Summer Campus arrives and it does so in the best possible way: with ambitious players eager to continue improving their skills. And it is the footballers who are the main protagonists of a football Campus that has completed its second week.
The High Performance programme organised by the prestigious Portuguese club FC Porto contains everything necessary to squeeze the maximum potential out of the player on the pitch, although the young player needs to give his all, something that has been seen, and very much so, in these last few days.
In the last few days, not even the heat has taken its toll on the players. In fact, the exhaustive medical check-ups carried out by the doctor from the International Soccer Academy in Spain determined the high level of fitness of all those registered, highlighting the success of the electrocardiography.
A vital test in the world of football and which SIA pays great attention to ensure that all those present, both from the Soccer School and the Academy, pass it frequently. In addition to the medical check-ups, it is also worth highlighting the various parallel activities carried out by Soccer Inter-Action and FC Porto Dragon Force technicians and professionals.
These activities cover everything necessary to complement the exercise on the pitch, as it is not only important to train on the pitch, but also in everything related to professional football and high performance.
In fact, the nutritional, psychological and educational workshops shone with their own light within a summer Football Campus in which the players achieved a sensational level, especially in the practice of languages, where the English classes are standing out for their football focus.
However, beyond the interesting workshops and activities, what really focuses the attention of this High Performance Football Camp are the training sessions. FC Porto plays a very important role in the work on the pitch due to its responsibility in the organisation of the Campus and its Official Dragon Force Valencia-Enguera Football School.
The methodology taught by the club, the famous and successful Tactical Periodisation, is the one that sets the guidelines for training sessions divided into three phases per day with the mission of working on all aspects and skills of the footballer. In fact, its successful DCAPI programme is combined with a fierce competition between all participants. Teams are formed and modified matches are played with the aim of seeing the competitive nature of these tournaments demonstrate their full potential and their ability to absorb and put into practice everything they have worked on in the training.
“The training sessions are geared to the needs of the children. The exercises shine with their own light due to their high specification – always in line with our methodology of Tactical Periodisation – and this is noticeable both in the level and intensity of the exercises and also in the fun and integration of the footballer.
In addition, the calendar of the Campus de Fútbol makes us be fully aware of all the exercises, as everything in the programme must be done on time, as this will make the players enrolled in the Campus – especially the older ones – even more prepared for the league competition and for their future trials in elite clubs”, says André Pinto, technical coordinator of FC Porto Dragon Force Valencia-Enguera.
Finally, this second week of Campus de Fútbol had a very special visit for the young stars present in the High Performance programme, as the Spanish First Division player, Rubén García, visited them to give advice and talk about his experience as a professional footballer.
The talented midfielder, who is preparing for the upcoming start of the pre-season in the sports facilities of the SIA High Performance Centre, did not want to miss the opportunity to share time and space with the Campus participants, which was a great experience for all the players.
