UD SIA Benigànim friendly match against Argentinian academy Essere Pro
UD SIA Benigànim, the first team of SIA Academy, played a friendly match against the Argentinian academy Essere Pro. This match allowed the members of SIA Academy to take their first steps in the first team of Tercera RFEF and continue their progression.
The academy’s international players Bapodra, Youness and Kwadwo started the game. Bapodra, a 19-year-old Indian player, is already part of the Third Division squad. Youness and Kwadwo have already trained with the first team and want the opportunity to continue growing to become professional footballers.
How was the outcome of the match
In the first half of the game, possession of the ball was dominated by UD SIA Benigànim. The players coached by Darío Aliaga had the best chances. From midfield, Salas and Castilla moved the ball around to create danger down the flanks. Up front, a quick Bapodra took advantage of the spaces to punish the Argentinian defence. In fact, Bapodra was the player who had the most chances in the first half.
Despite the chances to score, the game went into half time with a 0-0 score. Youness had a couple of individual efforts that showed his technical level and how he is growing thanks to his training at the SIA Academy. Kwadwo, from defence, was focused on cutting out the opposition’s attempts to threaten the Benigànim goal.
In the second half, more SIA Academy players were able to make their debut for the first team, with Bisnu, Naim and Ethan coming on from the start of the second half. SIA Academy increased the tempo during these minutes and took the lead. After a good move, Castilla finished with a delightful finish in the box to put Benigànim ahead on the scoreboard.
The Argentinian Essere Pro academy was not reaching the goal defended by Pablo with clarity. SIA Academy players were making a great effort to control the game. Naim in midfield wanted to continue giving passes into space to Bisnu who was positioned as a striker.
Bisnu is another very fast player who continues to grow with the training he does every day with SIA Academy. While Ethan, on the left side of the team, gave depth to the game by playing one-on-one against the opposing defender.
As the minutes went by, UD SIA Benigànim made changes and the pace of the game slowed down. This meant that the Argentinian opponents went forward with more impetus and created the first chances to score. The last SIA Academy players to make their debut in the match were Camilo, Sebas and Kwame.
Camilo is a Chilean midfielder who has just landed at SIA Academy looking for his chance in Spain. In the few minutes he had he showed his vision and that he can perform in the Tercera División team.
For his part, Sebas showed a great deal of dribbling and dribbling on the wing and Kwame defended the goal in all the actions that came from the rival team. In the final minutes, a long ball behind the defence saw the Essere Pro striker find himself alone in front of Kwame to level the scores. The New Zealand goalkeeper could do nothing about it. After the goal, SIA Academy tried to take the win. They had chances thanks to the individual actions of Sebas or Bisnu but the goal did not come.
In the end, the match ended in a 1-1 draw. It was a good test for the new SIA Academy talents who want to make a place for themselves in the Third Division team. The coaches observed the entire match and then evaluated and analysed it with them. Thanks to these matches, the SIA Academy players increase their potential and demonstrate their football skills in order to have the opportunity to make their debut in the national football leagues in Spain.
At the same time the scout of our third team evaluated the Argentinian players in case any of them could fit in the winter reinforcements of the third team UD SIA Beniganim.
