SIA ACADEMY FOOTBALL TOURNAMENTS CONTINUE
We would like to highlight the presence of the SIA Academy Football School in several national football tournaments. Murcia, Massanassa and Gandía were once again the venues for exciting competitions where the young SIA Academy footballers gave their all..
Top football tournaments
The countdown to the start of the season is just around the corner and keeping in shape is becoming a priority for football players. Football camps and summer tournaments are the best tools to continue to be linked to high performance.
SIA Academy offers the best football camp and tournament experiences. In fact, its High Performance Centre hosts one of the most important national and international football camps.
However, in parallel to its High Performance Football Camp, SIA Academy is constantly striving to involve the young players of its Football School and International Football Academy as much as possible.
For this reason, the activity has been intense in terms of competition for the SIA Academy Football School teams, both in Enguera and Massanassa. Proof of this were the summer tournaments held last weekend.
Football tournament in Murcia
Los Alcázares was once again the stage where SIA Academy was represented. After the SIA Academy Alevín team conquered the tournament in Murcia, it was the turn of the Infantil team. Adrià Tarín and Fernando Rodrigo were the coaches in charge of directing a team that lacked the luck in front of goal to round off their good play.
In fact, the first match they played they were defeated by the minimum against Ciudad Alcoy (2-1). This result obliged them to beat the tournament hosts, Los Alcázares, and they came close to doing so. However, luck was not on their side and the final score was nil-nil.
Eight-a-side football tournament in Valencia
Alevín B and Benjamín B from the SIA Academy Football School travelled to Gandía to compete in the Safor Nova Cup. The weather conditions were not the most suitable for competing at their best due to the high temperatures, but the young SIA Academy players did their best to put in a good performance. In fact, the Benjamín B stood out in their match against Benagéber.
Led by Valentín, the players achieved a motivating five-nil result, which gave them strength to face their next matches. However, both teams also lacked that much-needed luck in these short tournaments and failed to advance to the final rounds.
On the other hand, an exciting triangular tournament was held in Massanassa in the alevín category. SIA Academy were represented by their teams from Enguera and Massanassa and the third guest at this summer football tournament was Levante UD.
It is worth highlighting the great performance of both teams over the Granota team, who had to do their best to overcome their two rivals, something they did not achieve, as the Alevín A of SIA Academy in Enguera drew one to one on the scoreboard.
Donosti Cup International Tournament
The time has come for the long-awaited Donosti Cup. The 2021 edition of this prestigious international tournament, held in San Sebastian, will count with the presence of SIA Academy in the Youth category.
Thus, the U19 players representing SIA Academy will travel to this beautiful Spanish city to prove their worth in an experience that will undoubtedly be unparalleled.
Result of the first match in Donosti Cup
The Italian team Schalke Zero Quarto was the first opponent to face the SIA Academy team. The pupils coached by Adrià Tarín and José Antonio Marco gave their all in their opening match, but in the end they were defeated by the minimum (1-0).
SIA Academy’s next two matches will be against Mundaiz Ikastetxea and Sanse CD, both local teams who have shone brightly in the Basque Country this season.
During the first few days, these lands have been an unbeatable host for the SIA Academy. The old town of San Sebastian, La Concha beach and Anoeta – Real Sociedad’s stadium – were three places visited by the young players.
