CBD SIA Massanassa, historic 2021 COTIF Champion
Dreams come true if you work to get them. The children who competed with CDB SIA Massanassa at COTIF Promeses 2021 were able to achieve this thanks to their spirit of work and their collective effort, raising the firs ttitle of this tournament in the club’s history.
What was the path of SIA Massanassa?
COTIF 2021 was a hard and rewarding champion ship for the members of the Benjaminteam of CDB SIA Massanassa, which was crowned champion in a well-deserved and worked way. The first match was won by SIA 4-2 against World Soccer, although they had to overcome a first goal.
In the second game of the day, some what more tired, the Masanasero team of Soccer Inter-Action again set great sensations beating CF Cracks 2-0, with the star appearance of goalkeeper Ivan Cano.
A daylater, onthethirdday, CDB SIA Massanassa beat Selecció Alcoià 1-2 thanks to a great defensive effort. There were better sensations in the fourth day, where Carlet EMF was won 2-0 to obtain a full of victories that brought much enthusiasm in the children of SIA Massanassa.
The only match that was not resolved with a victory was on the fifth matchday, achieving a 2-2 draw against E1 Valencia, which closed the group phase and put the team on course for the semi-finals, where the Selecció Ribera Costa awaited.
Against the local team, they won 2-0 to reach the first final in the history of SIA Massanassa. Their opponents, Soccer Team, had never won a COTIF before. The Massanassa team managed to lift the title with a great final, winning 1-2, making the players, coaching staff and fans of the Massanassa Soccer Inter-Action team explode with joy.
What is the COTIF?
The COTIF is the most important national grassroots summer football tournament. Not only do the best youth teams from the Valencia Region take part, but also clubs from all over Spain, such as Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid, as well as national teams from all over the world, such as Argentina, Mexico and India, among others.
L’Alcúdia hosts this championship, now in its 27th edition. Around 10,000 spectators gather in the Valencian town during the tournament, a spectacular figure given the municipality’s population: only 12,000 people are registered in the Valencian municipality.

The first success in the history of CDB SIA Massanassa in a tournament as high level as the COTIF Promeses has not happened by chance, but by the tireless work of the people who make up the Soccer Inter-Action academy.
