How did the match develop?
Castellón started the game dominating. The physical strength of the ‘orellut’ team was noticeable in the early stages, although UD SIA Benigànim were able to counteract this initial impetus with a solid defence.
However, CD Castellón’s attack eventually overcame the SIA Academy side thanks to Bilal’s goal after a pass from Carrillo, who was very active throughout the game. The home side looked to take a step forward and slowed down the Castellón attack, whose chances from then on came from set pieces.
The changeover brought with it a lot of substitutions and this meant that the second half took a long time to get into rhythm. However, there was also an exciting second half with both teams looking to try things out ahead of the season.
In the last few minutes Marc Pitarch made the final two-nil after a powerful shot high in front of Enric Sánchez who could do no more to stop it. The game ended without any further incident.
