The SIA Academy Football School is counting down the days until the end of the 2020/2021 season and some of its teams have already won their football leagues despite there still being several rounds left to play
League champion teams
A special weekend for the SIA Academy Football School. The high level of the Spanish League competitions demands maximum effort from the Academy’s training teams, and this effort has been rewarded, especially in the Alevín A and Juvenil B teams.
Two of the School’s benchmark teams have thus achieved their objective, to finish the season at the top of the standings. However, the merit is not only the conquest of the title, but also the fact that they have done so with several matches still to play.
11-a-side football competitions in Spain
There is no doubt that Spain has one of the world’s most important breeding grounds for players. This passion for football means that all the youth competitions are exciting and, of course, very close.
It is true that finishing the season in first place is secondary in the formative football that football schools such as SIA Academy bet on. However, being league champions is a reward for the excellent work of the players and coaching staff.
And this is the reward that the Juvenil B team has received. The SIA Academy U-19 team had to take at least a point from their match against Vallada and they did not fail in their objective. What’s more, they defeated their opponents by 0-1 thanks to a goal from their captain: Toni Brotons.
This match had everything. Tension in the face of the possibility of winning the league and rainy weather that made the match even more epic. Juvenil B showed why they have won all their games this season (16 out of 16) and defeated a tough opponent who had the inspiration of their goalkeeper on several clear goal scoring chances.
This Spanish League championship achieved by the Juvenil B has a double reward, as, in addition to lifting the league title, they have achieved the coveted promotion, so that next season they will compete at a higher level.
Football 8-a-side competitions in Spain
The SIA Academy School of Football 8-a-side teams have not been left behind this year. In fact, teams such as Alevín A have followed in the footsteps of Juvenil B to become champions with two more games to play.
The School’s benchmark team in terms of 8-a-side football did not disappoint on their visit to Carcaixent. Winning against this difficult opponent made them mathematically champions and the players did not tremble in their legs to achieve the victory.
The final score was nil goals to two thanks to goals from Jordi Albert and Sergio Belda. The collective play of Alevín A once again shone brightly and these players showed that they are ready to make the leap to 11-a-side football.
In fact, many members of this team already know what it is like to play 11-a-side football, as, in order to favour the transition, the technical coordination of the Football School decided that they should have a lot of minutes in the Infantil B team.
Leisure and football in Spain
Football matches in the Spanish leagues are the main attraction of the weekends. However, during these days there is time to compete, to train and even to disconnect.
One of the best ways to disconnect from high-performance football is to practice other sports, but in a relaxed way and putting fun before competition. Beach football, swimming or paddle tennis are perfect for the occasion.
Where to play beach football?
The Valencian Community is one of the best places to play beach football. Its climate and sandy beaches on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea make playing this sport a real pleasure.
With the help of the international player for Spain, Antonio Aceitón, the SIA Academy footballers did not miss the opportunity to go to the beach and have a good time performing filigree moves such as the famous and eye-catching “chilenas”.
