SIA Academy enjoys Fallas 2021
Valencia’s big festival takes place on strange dates, but the excitement doesn’t change. The SIA Academy players were able to enjoy a magnificent Fallas day.
What activities did the SIA footballers carry out?
The Soccer Inter-Action pupils were able to enjoy many of the monuments that, from 1 to 5 September, can be found in the streets of the capital of Turia.
The SIA Academy boys and girls visited several of the special category fallas, such as Convento Jerusalén, Plaza del Pilar, Cuba-Literato Azorín and Sueca-Literato Azorín, among others.
The coaches and coordinators of the SIA Academy acted as guides around the city to enjoy the typical monuments of the province of Valencia.
An excursion that proves that in training football it is not only what happens on the pitch that counts. The players of the Soccer Inter-Action academy were able to get together and enjoy other activities before the start of the season in their respective categories.
Why Fallas 2021 in September?
Las Fallas, Valencia’s most famous festival, is usually celebrated between 14 and 19 March. The SIA footballers have been able to enjoy the monuments, the fiesta and the smell of gunpowder on different dates for an obvious reason: the pandemic.
The monuments that could not be seen in the 2020 Fallas were kept at the Valencia Trade Fair in order to be able to plant them in another edition. In 2021, again due to COVID-19, they could not be held on their usual date, so the Valencian regional government decided to postpone them.
Finally, after voting and doubts, it was agreed to hold the Fallas 2021 between 1 and 5 September, although each municipality would have to decide whether to hold the event or suspend it. València went ahead and SIA Academy has enjoyed it.
