SIA Academy players watch Elche – Madrid at the Martínez Valero stadiu
If you want to be the best, you have to see the professionals. Our academy students had the privilege of attending the Martínez Valero to watch the Elche – Madrid Liga Santander match. They dream of one day competing on this kind of stage, and we brought them there to experience it up close.
Real Madrid came into the match after beating Barcelona in El Clasico by 3-1. Their objective was to consolidate their leadership with a new victory against Elche, last classified in La Liga Santander. Karim Benzema, the new Ballon d’Or winner, was the main attraction of the match.
Learning from the best
The SIA Academy players will never forget the day they saw Kroos, Modric, Benzema… Watching high-level matches in a soccer stadium allows for more direct learning, especially with the youth. In the initial stage, you learn by imitation, and that is why you have to learn from the best.
A comfortable victory for Ancelotti’s team
Los Blancos barely suffered during the match and won 0-3. Valverde, Benzema and Asensio were the scorers in a match marked by the VAR: up to three more goals were disallowed for offside. Elche had their opportunities at 0-1, but finally succumbed to the reigning UEFA Champions League champions.
In this way, Real Madrid reaffirms its leading position in La Liga Santander. Elche, for their part, remain at the bottom of the table and have made a very worrying start to the competition. With the change of coach, they have taken one point out of six, the draw against Valencia.
First match of the new Ballon d’Or
Karim Benzema arrived at the Martínez Valero as the new Ballon d’Or winner. The current best player in the world performed at the expected level and scored the second goal in a beautiful play with Rodrygo. Before this goal, he scored two more, both cancelled out at the request of the VAR.
The big missing player of the night was Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian received the trophy for the best goalkeeper on the planet, but has not yet been able to debut it due to injury. In his place was Lunin, who made a fine save with 0-1 on the scoreboard to maintain the tie.
The road to the top with SIA Academy
Our players witness top-level clashes because our goal is that one day they will play them too. At SIA we have UEFA Pro licensed coaches, nutritionists, physiotherapists and modern installations to be at the service of our students. But what is our path?
Agreement with SIA Benigánim
One of the biggest attractions of the Academy is playing for SIA Benigánim. This club currently competes in the Spanish Third Division. Their rivals are the affiliate teams of Valencia, Elche, Levante… in other words, players who in a few years will be competing in professional soccer.
This division is the perfect showcase for talented young players to be captured by the best teams in the region or even in Spain. Who knows if in the future with talent and discipline they can reach higher divisions
Relationship with clubs in the Valencian Community
The presence of the players at the Elche stadium reinforces the work of SIA Academy. Important clubs in the Valencian Community take the academy and its methodology into account. As a result, the boys enjoy memorable experiences, such as watching Real Madrid live.
This is not an isolated initiative. Learning by imitation is fundamental to improving technical and tactical skills. Apart from the training sessions at the facilities and the video sessions, having the best players so close is a privilege offered by SIA Academy.
