Nacho Barberá Memorial 2022

Group stage
The group stage consisted of six participating teams. Atlético de Madrid, UD Alzira and Elche CF were placed in group A. Valencia CF, Levante UD and CF E1 Valencia were in group B. The colchoneros beat Alzira 3-0 and Elche 1-0 to qualify. Finally, Elche took second place with a 1-0 win over Alzira.
In group B, Valencia Club de Fútbol qualified as group winners. They beat E1 Valencia 2-0 and Levante Unión Deportiva 1-3. The ‘Granotas’ took second place with a 1-0 win over E1 Valencia in the first match of the tournament.
Final phase
In the final phase of the Memorial Nacho Barberá 2022 held on Sunday 12 June, all the positions were shared. E1 Valencia beat UD Alzira 2-3 in the duel for fifth place. Then came the semi-finals where Atlético beat Levante 2-0 and Valencia overcame Elche Club de Fútbol 1-0.
Finally, Levante UD took third place after beating Elche 3-0. The final between Atlético de Madrid and Valencia CF ended in a draw after 45 minutes. Penalties were to proclaim Atlético as champions of the Nacho Barberá Memorial 2022.
