THIRD  MATCH OF THE VIF LEAGUE

SIA Academy vs Alicante Football Academy

SIA-Academy-Team

The third match of the VIF League tournament of SIA Academy was against Alicante Football Academy.

The SIA Academy team was very focused on sticking to the coaching staff’s plan, following the guidelines and staying aligned on the pitch.

However, the match became difficult as the minutes ticked by, with tempers flaring, the result of the match was not what our team had hoped for.

Aarón López, head coach of the SIA Academy team, commented: “Our individual quality meant that we had chances, in the first half we went 0-1 down. At half-time we made several changes, both in terms of system and players, and as the minutes went by, we slowed down a bit as the game was very physical and they held on much better than us”.

“We ended up conceding the 0-2 penalty in an absurd mistake. In the last 15 minutes a clearance from them at the back made it 0-3 and the last one was a rebound between the centre-backs that the striker took advantage of and made it 0-4 in added time”.

Finally López said: “We have things to improve, we didn’t give our best, we will continue to work and improve day by day, game by game”.
