This weekend, SIA Academy players took part in several friendly matches to close the pre-season.
It was a great opportunity for the players to live the experience of playing with professional teams, to be evaluated by the coaches of the teams, as well as to share intense emotions in each match.
Friendly match between UD Alzira Juvenil B vs UD Carcaixent Amateur B
In the friendly match between UD Alzira Juvenil B vs UD Carcaixent Amateur B, Jill Meghani (17 years old) from India, who played as a winger and left winger, played alongside Daniel Farkas, 18 years old, Chilean-American, who played as a right winger. The match took place at the Els Quatre Camins stadium in Carcaixent.
In this match, Alzira dominated the ball in the opposition half and Carcaixent had their chances through counter attacks. However, the score remained in favour of the opposition with the only goal of the game coming in the 92nd minute, a penalty taken by Carcaixent’s Pablo Cogollos.
According to David Canut, coach of the Juvenil B team, by participating in these matches, it is possible to make a technical and tactical analysis of each player, make corrections in the search for individual improvement and keep up the pace of competition.
Friendly match UD Alzira Juvenil D vs CD Guadassuar Juvenil A
In the friendly match between UD Alzira Juvenil D against CD Guadassuar Juvenil A, 17-year-old Mark Spilenberg, from Hungary, was at centre-back alongside 17-year-old Edgar Carranza, a Mexican-American, who played as a left winger.
On this occasion, the team had possession of the ball but did not create clear chances. The team played with determination and finishing, with powerful transitions. It is a team that decides with simplicity and speed, knowing what their offensive virtues are, says their coach, Antonio Vidal.
Both players were analysed by Vidal, who highlighted Mark’s good defensive ability and Edgar’s skill on the ball. The score was 2-1 for Guadassuar. The goals were scored in 7′ and 36′. The goals of Alzira scored by Salvador Carbonell, came in the second half of the match, putting Guadassuar in trouble until the last minute of the match.
