DRAGON FORCE YOUTH FACE LEVANTE UD
Exciting match played at the Ciudad Deportiva del Levante UD between Levante´s National youth ‘granota’ team and Dragon Force´s Nacional youth team, a team that includes several members of the Soccer Inter-Action International Soccer Academy.
CF Dragon Force’s visit to the Ciudad Deportiva del Levante UD, a Spanish First Division club that is already counting down the days until the second leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals. The National Youth League, managed by the Royal Spanish Football Federation, is one of the categories that continue to be played thanks to its strict sanitary protocols.
Thanks to these protocols, which include antigen tests for all players, it is possible to watch a great game every week, as Liga Nacional Juvenil being the second highest category of Spanish youth soccer. One of the most anticipated matches of the day was undoubtedly the Levante-Dragon Force match, and it did not disappoint.
In fact, on the ‘granota’ pitch a vibrant match was played where both teams bet on the good treatment of the ball. Neither of the two teams gave up when it came to getting the ball out from the back and that made for a beautiful spectacle that only lacked the goals to finish to excel at all.
And the goals, as expected, ended up coming, and in what a way! The first to take the lead were Pascu Domingo’s pupils. Dragon Force, which included four players from Soccer Inter-Action’s International Soccer Academy, opened the scoring thanks to a goal from Vila. The midfielder took advantage of a great free kick by Tomás (SIA Academy player) to put the ball in the back of the net in the 41st minute.
The passage through the locker room was a breath of fresh air for Levante. The home team managed to equalize in an unfortunate action by the visitors. Cucu, when trying to clear a lateral cross, put the ball into his own goal in the 50th minute. The goal was an important boost for Levante UD, who a few minutes later took the lead through Franc Mateu.
From here, Dragon Force took more risks in attack and in the boots of striker Toti could have tied the game. The great performance of goalkeeper Lluis prevented with his quick reflexes to keep the ´granota´´ on top. The Dragon Force were rewarded for their efforts in the 85th minute with Toti’s goal. A nice individual play by Vila led to a one-on-one where the Mexican striker did not miss.
However, the scoreboard moved again to the regret of CF Dragon Force. A loss in midfield in a promising counterattack turned into a perfect counterattack for Levante UD, that was finished off by full-back Xavi Grande with a great goal on target.
