SIA Academy prepares for 9 d’octubre
SIA Academy continues to develop its preparation programme for the up coming season, which is about to begin in most of the Valencia Region’s grass roots football. The international football academy Soccer Inter-Action is keeping an eye on 9 October.
What is 9 d’octubre?
The 9th of October is a public holiday in the Comunitat Valenciana, the region where Soccer Inter-Action Academy is located. This holiday is celebrated on the day when Jaume I entered the city of Valencia in 1238 and reconquered the Kingdom of Valencia.
As a result of the 9 October bank holiday, Valencian grassroots football often holds matches to enjoy the beautiful game in a better atmosphere. The Soccer Inter-Action football academy is no exception.
SIA Academy and the 9 d’octubre
The international football academy SIA is not only involved in the integral development of football players on the pitch, but also off the pitch. For this reason, the players who train at the Soccer Inter-Action high performance centre in Enguera will also enjoy the 9 d’octubre.

How is 9 d’octubre celebrated?
As is tradition in the Valencian Community, the international football players of the Soccer Inter-Action football academy will be able to participate in the processions with the Señera (the flag of the Valencian Community),
Festivities with music and fireworks, enjoying rituals such as wearing the “mocador”, a traditional scarf, or giving marzipan, a typical Spanish sweet.
