Every summer, hundreds of young soccer players have the opportunity to improve their skills and enjoy an unforgettable experience at our summer soccer camp.
These summer soccer camps are an excellent opportunity for children and teenagers to spend time outdoors, practice their favorite sport and have fun together with other passionate players.
At SIA Academy, we have several soccer camps per year. These are held during the summer, Christmas, winter and Easter, making them more flexible for players who are interested in participating in one of them.
How many young players did we have at the SIA Academy Summer Soccer Camp?
This year, in our Summer Soccer Camp we had the participation of more than 300 players from 45 countries around the world. Men and women between the ages of 12 and 23. A great mix of culture and energy of young people full of enthusiasm and curiosity, shared together during the seven weeks of the camp.
Each week we received around 50 new players, who were looking to improve their soccer skills and at the same time share a few days of fun and fellowship. Many of them were at the camp for more than 3 weeks.
Some of them have repeated the experience they have lived in our camps in previous years, and others have decided to continue their preparation in our Annual Program that will begin in September of this year.
What does the SIA Academy Summer Soccer Camp consist of?
Our Summer Soccer Camp offers a wide range of activities and benefits that help young people improve both physically and mentally. In addition to traditional training and match activities, our summer soccer camps also offer a variety of workshops and activities designed to complement participants’ soccer education.
In recent years, we have seen the need to include activities that go beyond soccer. Such as different recreational activities to achieve the socialization of young people and release them from moments of tension and stress.
What activities were carried out in the 2023 Summer Soccer Camp program?
In the summer camp program, the youngsters had 14 weekly training sessions, anthropometric measurements with the nutritionist, two sessions of sports psychology, a yoga class and every day half an hour to cool off in the academy’s swimming pool.
Interview sessions were also held with the coaches to discuss their objectives and performance during the week-long soccer camp. A video analysis session and group dynamics in English and Spanish.
The youngsters also spent an afternoon at the Paraje Natural Fuente de Marzo lake, located 1km from our facilities, as part of our recreational activities. And to end the week of the summer campus, they played two sessions of competitive matches..
Which specialists assisted the youngsters at our Soccer Camp?
Naturally our physical trainers, coaches, physiotherapist and a doctor were there during the camp to assist and take care of the health and well-being of the youngsters. Supporting each and every training session of the program.
Supported by our tutors, who were behind the care of all daily meals. As well as the 24/7 assistance of each of the participants in the academy’s residence.
WHAT WAS THE TRAINING METHODOLOGY USED AT THE CAMPUS?
At SIA Academy, we apply an implementation logic based on the connection between the training methodology, the idealized game idea for the team and the optimization of individual development.
This methodology is based on the experience of the best clubs in Spain, on the worldwide soccer reference and, mainly, on the elite quality of our staff. Taking this into account, we are clear that the player is the main protagonist of his development and that the process is adapted to each level and evolutionary stage.
The Australian academy Soccer by Design also shared a Clinic for a week at our academy during our summer soccer campus. Click here to find more information:
